Your starting point is at the Saint Germain des Pres Church where you will be offered your first tasting: a chouquette. This French specialty, a baked and fluffy pastry comprised of small-sized dough sprinkled with pearl sugar, is the perfect example of a simple but delicious recipe! You will then visit a 200 year old chocolate factory specialized in high quality chocolates. Taste what Napoleon and Queen Marie-Antoinette use to savor in their days, given their reputation as recurrent clients for this brand formed in 1779!You will then visit the Paradise of macaroons. This cookie made of almonds originated in Italy but travelled to France on the hands of the chef of Catherine de Medici. Since then, this pastry has become one of the most internationalized and popular French pastries in the world. You can find it in a variety of flavors but it’s always characterized by its round form.Following the macaroons, you will be tasting mousses made with chocolates from all over the world at a Chocolate Mousse Bar. The perfect occasion to experience an innovative chocolate texture while learning about cocoa in general! From there, you will be guided by our local tour guide to what is reputed to be the temple of jam! With hundreds of different flavors to taste, this place sure lives up to its name. Ranging from simple ingredients to complex combinations, you can find all types of tastes, even salty! It’s Toffee time! But not just any regular toffee. Get ready to magic in your mouth with the award-winning best caramel in France!A sweet tour without a traditional French waffle is worthless. Originally from Lille, a small town in the North of France, this dessert was General Charles De Gaulle’s favorite. You will be taken to visit a boutique opened since 1849 that produces thin, ever so fine waffles filled with several different flavors; vanilla, raspberry blackcurrant or even caramel. The next stop of this walking tour is a boutique that dates back to 1830. Known for the preservation of its delicate recipe of “calissons”: a crushed mixture of candied melons and almonds of Provence placed on a sheet of unleavened bread and inmersed in a thin layer of royal frosting. It will be then time to travel to Brittany and taste the “kouign amann”, which translate into “butter cake” in Breton. The recipe makes its very first impresssion at your first bite. For Bretons, this desert has been competing head to head with the crêpes.By now, you have learned quite a share about sweets and chocolates. But there’s still so much more to learn! Come with us and at the end of this amazing culinary trip your kids will be ready to make their own chocolate bar! At a chocolate factory, a whole universe of chocolate awaits your young chefs for their final stop. With a large selection of toppings, they will be able to design their ideal chocolate bar! But this is not the end! There is one last type of chocolate you cannot leave without tasting: A delicious chocolate drink that can be drank either warm or cold. A great way to finish in beauty! This is the most enjoyable tour of all! You sit back and enjoy the slow ride while you glide passed some of the most world famous monuments. Your guide will share anecdotes and lots of fun stories with you! You may get off to have a snack, or an ice cream, a very clever & fun way to see Rome with your family! What Our Big And Small Clients Are Saying:
Monica Aupoix
Our guide was Flavia, and she was absolutely wonderful! She personally knew the owners of the shops and gave us so much information about the chocolate, waffles, and macaroons. Each single bite was delicious! Throughout the tour, she shared so much knowledge of the history and architecture of the area. I recommend to wear good walking shoes to make the experience even more enjoyable. My entire family LOVED it, the kids especially.

Our local tour guide suggested I take a “Sweet Tour” as I would love it…That is how I met Gwen, who definitely knows the very best places in Saint Germain: she started the tour by introducing us to the best cream puff we ever ate. Yummy!! My 10 year old still talks about it! The visits were delightful – just as the French specialties she made us taste… A great tour to recommend, a real must for sweet foodies like me!

My daughter and I had an exclusive tour in the charming Saint-Germain- des-Prés with focus on sweet delicacies. Our guide Sophie gave a very personal tour, with visit to various bakeries, chocolate boutiques, gourmet marmalade shops etc. We also were introduced to interesting unknown places, that we otherwise never had found. I strongly recommend this tour if you have a sweet tooth and are interested in the history of Paris in general. This is fabulous for kids, teens and adults alike!
