Main Info
Visiting the Orsay Museum with kids and teens can be a challenge. We love challenge and have therefore created a Paris tour which gives the parents a holiday as well! Our Paris walking tour in the Orsay Museum is specially adapted to your children’s age group and includes an exciting treasure hunt for the kids up to 12. For teens we have different ways to engage them and help them learn in a fun and edutaining way! We guarantee an experience that excites an involves both parents and children!
Led by your local tour guide, your children will go on a fantastic journey through some of the most famous paintings of the 19th Century. With the help of their activity booklet, they will find directions and fun questions to help them navigate through Art history. While searching for their first clue in this “Treasure Hunt Paris Art Tour”, your guide will give your children interesting facts about the museum and its creation. Formerly a train station, which functioned in the early 1900s, the beautiful Orsay Museum in Paris was going to be demolished when it was luckily turned into a museum. Your children will walk where the tracks used to cross!
Using their investigative skills and your guide’s recommendations, your kids will be able to see beautiful works of art and see stunning views from the museum’s Great Nave. Your guide will then lead you to rooms usually forgotten during classical visits. For example, on the middle terraces, a famous sculpture of Rodin’s stands, alongside others from Pompon and Camille Claudel. Your guide will get them in the mood for painting and provide some hidden clues that may be very useful for their mission! The Impressionist collection is doubtlessly one of the best in the world. Your kids will see the work of the masters such as Degas’ Ballet Classes, Renoir’s Bal du Moulin de la Galette or Monet’s Poppy Field, just to mention a few! At the end of the tour, your children should have solved the initial enigma and navigated throughout the fascinating second half of the 19 th century!

We had a delightful and family friendly tour of the Orsay Museum with the Europe4Kids team who have amazing guides. The expert local tour guides made the experience wonderful for both me and my wife and our 11-years- old daughter, Luisa. She especially enjoyed the treasure hunt and finding out all about the Museum secrets through a fun and interactive game. It was definetely a worthy birthday present for our little big girl who loves art and I was glad I chose to spend it with this crew. Though we have been to Paris several times, this tour really helped us gain a totally different perspective of the museum and of Versailles and its Gardens, history etc..
