I’ve always loved the phrase ‘travel broadens your mind’ and I firmly believe that if we can cultivate curiosity and thirst for knowledge into our children’s hearts, so their talents and passions will blossom!
But, as a single mom, I know that it’s not always easy to plan both the perfect holiday for your kids and a make it a fun experience for everyone! This is why I started Rome4KidsTours & Europe4KidsTours! So you, as parents can relax and leave it all to us!
We firmly believe that the right guide is just as important as the destination. It takes a great storyteller to make a pile of ruins into an exciting, ancient metropolis or a cold cathedral into an architectural marvel! Our fabulous guides can literally make a world of a difference!
This is why we hand pick all our guides personally, to make sure they can adapt perfectly to your individual interests, pace and needs! We make you feel at home and we make history fun! Chef Jessica was incredible! Our kids were thrilled to be her helpers during and... read more even after class. We made homemade fettuccini  which was served with either carbonara, amatriciana or classic tomato basil sauce. The kids worked so hard, and Chef Jessica was there to help them finish preparing their pasta while still helping us and the other group of teenagers. It was so much fun. She also had a great playlist to set the tone for the class. The kids helped her make the gelati - strawberry and nutella, which we all enjoyed at the end of our meal.



Having the class at an actual cafe enhanced the experience as well. We added on a few great appetizers (sardines and mozzarella bruschetta, fried zucchini flowers, and artichokes) and kept the bar busy with rounds of cold beer and Aperol spritzes. It was a very fun family night that we would all highly recommend.

Our guide, Antonietta, kept them engaged and interested throughout the 3 hour... read more tour, and the scavenger hunt was perfect in keeping them involved. It was just the right length and content  for their ages.

Tomas did an amazing job connecting with my 10 and 11 year old boys and keeping them interested as we roamed around Rome... read more on a golf cart. Valeria shared her love of mythology and Rome in the Capitoline museum. Antonella helped us navigate the Vatican museum while keeping the kids interested. Finally we had the amazing Viviana give us a tour of Pompeii.



At every step, the guides were kind, knowledgeable, and engaged with us and our kids. This is not the cheapest tour you can book but I knew it was worth it when we did a tour with another group and my 11 year old looked at me sadly and said that “this guide is no Tomas”. Touring with Katja and her team is like touring with your cool aunt or uncle. It made our vacation exceptional.
