Main Info
Our fun Le Marais walking tour in Paris has been specially designed to engross your kids in an exciting Treasure Hunt which allows them to learn about the fascinating history of Le Marais, from the Middle Ages up to the 20 th century.
At the start of our special Paris tour, your local tour guide will provide the young detectives with an activity booklet where marchioness Marie de Sévigné, a renowned writer who lived in this aristocratic district in the 17th century, will give them hints to solve throughout their investigation. To find the solutions to the riddles, they will need their observational and investigative skills. Your kids will track down evidence from Marie’s life: from the building where she was born to the church where she was baptized or even the manor she lived in for 20 years, this tour promises an exciting treasure hunt through History! You’ll begin in the times of Knights and Monarchs! During the period when Le Marais first began to develop. Your children will have to spot some of the oldest residences in the city, as well as Paris’ first defensive wall.
You will also learn about the more recent history of Le Marais! You will see the Jewish Quarter, where the Jewish residents were oppressed during WWII. Your kids will be introduced to this fraught period of Paris’ history, with a lesson adapted for their age.The tour then finishes at the magnificent Place des Vosges, a former royal square that has hosted many talented people, from writers to politicians, and continues to attract them to this day. At last, after the young historians’ hard work, you will all be able to enjoy a break in an authentic Parisian café with a complimentary drink while you listen to your guide’s funny stories about Marie de Sévigné.

What Our Big And Small Clients Are Saying:

We really enjoyed our Le Marais tour with Caroline. She was very funny, helpful, engaging with her love and breadth of knowledge for La Marais, city, culture and history. It was very impressive for our group of 8 and their family with 7 kids from 5-14 who were visiting Paris for the 2nd time. It was quite funny and interesting how we had the impression of living an authentic French historical experience as it was at the time of the kings.

Our tour guide was Sophie and she was great! She was very knowledgeable and incorporated all of us into this interesting tour of the Marais. We had so much fun. We would definitely book another tour with Europe4KidsTours! C’est magnifique!!

My three girlfriends and my 8-years- old son, went on a tour with Sophie of the Marais. It was so fun because she named us after real people in the nobility and told us the story of our lives. The treasure quest also kept my boy really entertained and he made lots of cool friends thanks to the interactive nature of the tour. Highly recommend!! Plan to take more tours with them.
