    FAQs

What is included in the tour?

A private family tour with a child-friendly guide, luxury vehicle with driver, and hotel pick-up/drop-off (if in the city center).

How long does the tour last?

Choose between 3 or 4 hours, depending on how many sites you wish to include.

    Which sites are covered?

Depending on the version: Catacombs (small group with site guide) San Clemente Basilica (underground layers) San Pietro in Vincoli (with Michelangelo’s Moses) City of Water archaeological site

Is this a private family tour?

Yes, the tour is private, except for the Catacombs section, which must be joined as a small group.

    Are site tickets included?

Tickets are required but not included; we will pre-book San Clemente, and Catacombs/City of Water tickets are paid on site.

Do children need their own tickets?

Children under 16 enter San Clemente for free; under 14 enter the City of Water for free. Reduced fares apply for Catacombs.

How far in advance should we book?

It’s best to book a few weeks ahead, as underground site tickets are limited.

    Is this tour child-friendly?

Yes, with engaging storytelling, but best for older kids due to underground spaces.

What age group is it best for?

Recommended for 8+ years, especially kids curious about history and archaeology.

Will there be breaks for snacks or rest?

Yes, the guide adapts the pace and can include short breaks.

    Where is the meeting point?

At your hotel or apartment in central Rome.

Is the tour stroller or wheelchair-friendly?

No. The underground sites have steps, narrow passages, and uneven ground.

    What should we bring?

Comfortable shoes, a light jacket (cool underground areas), and water.

What’s the difference between the 3-hour and 4-hour versions?

3 hours: 2 underground sites. 4 hours: 3 underground sites.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Free changes or cancellations up to 14 days before. No refunds within 14 days in high season, or for bookings made 7 days or less before. Tickets, once issued, are non-refundable.
